Boilie Maker Studio โ€” Development Changelog

Boilie Maker Studio 0.9.9.0 Beta

Version 0.9.9.0 brings major improvements to recipe analysis, structural modelling, Price Intelligence, supplier management and overall analytical consistency.

๐Ÿงช Recipe Analysis & Hardness

  • Reworked the Hardness analysis model to better reflect structural and heat-setting mechanisms within a bait formulation.
  • Fresh eggs now contribute appropriately to heat-set structure and predicted formulation hardness.
  • Improved handling of egg albumin and other structural proteins.
  • Removed inappropriate Hardness amplification from hydrolysates, marine liquids, extracts and other ingredients whose properties are primarily related to attraction or solubility rather than mechanical strength.
  • Improved normalization of Hardness calculations to prevent unrealistic score inflation.
  • Corrected analytical behaviour when identical ingredient quantities are split across multiple recipe rows.
  • Improved consistency between Hardness, Binding, Dough Cohesion, Thermal Set and Matrix Integrity.
  • Hardness is now treated as a formulation-based prediction. Final physical bait firmness can additionally depend on bait diameter, cooking method and duration, drying conditions, final moisture and storage.

๐Ÿ”ฌ Structural & Performance Analysis

  • Removed duplicate structural weighting in Matrix Integrity.
  • Improved interaction between structural properties and Hookbait Performance.
  • Refined Release Evidence so structural resistance, solubility, porosity and hydration effects are represented more independently.
  • Improved the time-based release model to prevent the same mechanical properties from being counted multiple times.
  • Improved consistency between Structure, Release, Hardness and Binding diagnostics.
  • Preserved independent Wafter washout/leakage behaviour while removing unrelated structural duplication.
  • Updated historical analytical reference models and validations to match the corrected analytical architecture.

๐Ÿ’ถ Price Intelligence

Price Intelligence is now integrated directly into My Inventory.

The Inventory area now contains:

Inventory | Price Intelligence

Price Intelligence can help monitor supplier prices without automatically changing your Inventory costs.

New functionality includes:

  • Central Price Intelligence dashboard.
  • Optional automatic supplier-price checking after BMS starts.
  • Update All Prices for manually checking linked supplier prices.
  • Review Changes for quickly finding ingredients whose supplier price has changed.
  • Price Intelligence status directly inside Inventory.
  • Clearer price-check results and status information.
  • Better handling of failed, unavailable or uncertain supplier checks.
  • Sequential background checking designed to avoid aggressive supplier requests.
  • User-cancellable bulk checks.

๐Ÿ›’ Multi-Supplier Price Management

  • Multiple supplier links can be stored for the same ingredient.
  • Choose an explicit Preferred Supplier.
  • Preferred supplier and cheapest known supplier remain separate concepts.
  • Compare comparable supplier prices safely.
  • Package normalization supports compatible units such as:
    • g โ†” kg
    • ml โ†” l
  • BMS does not compare mass with volume.
  • No automatic density assumptions.
  • No automatic foreign-exchange conversion.
  • Prices in different currencies remain clearly separated.

๐Ÿ”’ Price Safety

BMS will never silently replace your Inventory cost after checking a supplier.

The workflow remains:

Check โ†’ Review โ†’ Apply

This means:

  • supplier checks do not automatically alter Inventory;
  • automatic startup checking is check-only;
  • Update All Prices is check-only;
  • changed prices remain available for review;
  • the user explicitly decides whether to apply a supplier price.

๐ŸŒ Supplier Infrastructure

  • Expanded and hardened supplier-price support.
  • Centralized supplier-adapter registration.
  • Improved supplier-host matching and validation.
  • Improved handling of product variants and package sizes.
  • Stronger safeguards against uncertain or ambiguous price evidence.
  • Supplier support and supplier-price evidence are handled separately so BMS does not claim a valid price when the available evidence is insufficient.

๐Ÿ“ฆ Inventory & Workflow

  • Price Intelligence moved from a standalone application area into My Inventory, creating a more natural workflow.
  • Inventory remains the default view.
  • Price Intelligence can be opened when supplier monitoring is needed without adding another main BMS tab.
  • Improved Inventory status presentation for linked supplier products.
  • Existing costing and Inventory values remain fully under user control.

๐Ÿ›  Reliability & Validation

0.9.9.0 also includes extensive internal analytical and regression improvements.

The corrected recipe-analysis architecture was validated across:

  • Hardness
  • Binding
  • Matrix Integrity
  • Recipe Performance
  • Hookbait Performance
  • Release analysis
  • time-based release behaviour
  • Recipe Quality
  • Compare
  • Advisor and Optimizer dependencies
  • Inventory and costing isolation
  • Price Intelligence and supplier-price infrastructure

These changes provide a stronger analytical foundation as BMS moves toward version 1.0.
